Its not your father’s diesel engine: A Honda with power

Diesel Technology Forum showed off a concept clean-diesel Honda sedan capable of 62.8 miles a gallon.  Thats as "clean" as a new Toyota Prius.  Diesel enginee efficiency has improved dramatically over the past 10 years due in part to better fuel and engine technology.

TriMet adds two K-9 units to patrol transit system

TriMet is adding two K-9 units to patrol MAX and buses for explosives. The new teams joined TriMet’s first K-9 unit that started patrolling in December 2005. The K-9 units are part of TriMet’s ongoing safety and security enhancements since the Madrid and London transit bombings.  More

Commuter Rail construction update – SW Main in Tigard closed April 20-23

The rail crossing at SW Main Street in Tigard will be closed for reconstruction from Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m. to Monday, April 23 at 5 a.m. Bus lines 12-Barbur and 45-Garden Home affected. More

Commuter Rail construction update – completed early, April 22

Construction was completed early on SW Main intersection in Tigard by 6 p.m. Schedules are back to normal.

Light rail construction at SE Stark extends two traffic lane closures

The closure of two traffic lanes on SE Stark Street will be extended four days until May 2nd. Crews have closed the lanes for construction staging on the I-205 Light Rail project.  More
