An SUV named Green Car of Year

Tahoe Hybrid SUV was named Green Car of Year from the Green Car Journal for its outstanding gas mileage compared to its competitors.  The Tahoe's 5.3 liter V8 is as efficient as the four-cylinder Toyota Camry.  Both get about 21mpg in the city.

GM Hybrid Dual mode Pickup

GM announced that 2009 Chevrolet Silverado hybrid will be the industry's most fuel-efficient full-size pickup truck at the LA Auto Show.  The Silverado will sport a 40% increase in city fuel economy and 25% increase in overall fuel economy.  So if you're worried about going green and drive a pickup, hang on until 2009

Did you know that Porsche created the one of the first hybrid cars close to 100 years ago?    The vehicle featured an in-wheel electric motors and included a gas engine to recharge the batteries.   If it was possible to implement this technology 100 years ago, why are car companies still struggling with it today?

How Smart are SmartCars

Have you seen a SmartCar yet?  If you haven't, you certainly will soon.  The ultra-compact two-seater, developed by Mercedes Benz, is scheduled to hit the US market starting in January 2008.  The SmarCar is designed to get between 40-60 miles per gallon, easy to drive park for city dwellers, and baby boomers.

Another excuse for guys not to ask for directions

If you ever get lost and don't feel like asking directions don't panic.  Google has the answer.  According to CNN, Google "will dispense driving directions at thousands of gasoline pumps across the country beginning early next month."
