An SUV named Green Car of Year
Tahoe Hybrid SUV was named Green Car of Year from the Green Car Journal for its outstanding gas mileage compared to its competitors. The Tahoe's 5.3 liter V8 is as efficient as the four-cylinder Toyota Camry. Both get about 21mpg in the city.

Perhaps it’s only because they already named all the better cars the best in previous years. In any case this is sad.

Honestly, I thought it was pretty cool that an SUV could be green without sarificing any of performance. Most of the american car companies seem to be focused mostly on cranking out smaller cards in response to the models being offered by Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai instead of improving cars that americas seem to enjoy driving.
