Quiet and clean utility vehicles: No more waking up the neighborhood
Recently, the Diesel Technology Forum showed off a concept clean-diesel Honda sedan capable of 62.8 miles a gallon. This month Hybrid Truck Users Forum and PG&E are demonstrating a hybrid diesel-electric utility service truck in downtown San Francisco. These vehicles can operate very efficiently using clean burning bio-diesel and quiet operating electric motors.
"Trucks like these can save utilities fuel costs — potentially $4,500 to $5,500 a year per vehicle — as well as prevent carbon emissions"
