Its not your father’s diesel engine: A Honda with power

Diesel Technology Forum showed off a concept clean-diesel Honda sedan capable of 62.8 miles a gallon.  Thats as "clean" as a new Toyota Prius.  Diesel enginee efficiency has improved dramatically over the past 10 years due in part to better fuel and engine technology.

Finding Walkable Neighborhoods

Walk Score helps you rate housing based upon its proximity to public transportation, shopping, parks, and schools.   The site has a pretty slick and intuitive user interface and utilizes google maps for displaying results. 
Using walk score takes 3 steps:

1. Type an address

2. See a walking map

3. Get your score

Improved Driving Directions on Google Maps!

I found this article on Google Maps Mania discussing some big improvements to Google maps for driving directions.
